Hi, I'm trying to figure out how you determine the tftp daemon version. I need to make sure that the version I have can support >32MB file transfers. My understanding is that the newer versions can do that.
TIA, -Tennis -- Remove -remove-to-reply to respond to my email address directly.

I'm curious to know how much inlining is going on in modernJust-In-Time (JIT) compilers such as Java's hotspot.
Is anyone aware of command-line options or tools that enable the codegenerated at runtime by a JIT compiler such as HotSpot to beinspected? Thanks, David

Hi, Folks -- Id been asked to attach Xorg.0.log for another problem and ran into this one. This Acer Aspire 5250 with Squeeze AMD64 sends only a small portion of a file, and then the connection locks up, goes dormant. This happened multiple times as I tried to send the log file as an attachment to two different netmail locations, also happened when I tried to send by way of copy-and-paste into the body of the netmail e-mail. Similar result when I tried to scp the file to myself on my local (h.... read more

I am replacing a hard drive (slave) on a Win XP Home machine. POST recognises the drive and Properties show it working properly, but Disk management module gives volume status Not Initialized and the wizard won't run - right click does not show Initialize (only New Partition greyed out).
Can anyone help please?

I'm running SuSE 9.3 (upgraded from 9.2).
The system keeps telling me I need to install a kernel patch for security reasons, but when I try to install the patch it comes back with a message: Error installing patch 'kernel'. That's it. Nothing else.
This is at the install stage (i.e. after downloading the patch and applying the delta).
Does anyone have any ideas how I can proceed? Thanks Peter

I finally figured out how to get the Breezy install to run Lilo andeverything worked fine.
I just upgraded to Dapper and installed Grub. Now once I boot intowindows, grub hangs with the messag.... read more
