What do you think of having Risc OS games charts? one for commercial games and another for pd games. people could vote for their favourite game by sending an email to a certain address saying what game they think should be in the chart. advertisements could also be placed on the same webpage.

I'm not exactly a newbie to Linux, but up to this point, I have beenusing distributions that prettry much install themselves (Red Hat,Mandrake). Now, I'm trying Debian, and I've had extremely erraticresults.
I tried installing Woody from a three disk set (first three from theeight). Despite the fact that the checksums checked out, I gotrepeated corrupted package errors when installing, and ended up witha command-lline only installation (no Gnome or KDE). I then tried aSarge netinsta.... read more

Where to begin? While attempting to repair an unbootable WinXP installation,I scanned the ailing drive with 'CHDSK d: /p' via the recovery console andthe scan stopped in the first stage at ~19%, claiming an unrecoverable errorwas encountered. An earlier scan after the boot failure of this same drive(without surface scan or automatic error correction) via Win2K didn't reportany errors, so hoping it was a fluke I rebooted my computer to find that theXP drive disappeared from everywhere.... read more

Currently I defined manually the ejb-jar.xml for a EJB SessionBean.
Is there a tool which does this automatically for me?In other words I pass the java source (or binary class) to it and the toolfetches all necessary information from it and generates the suitable ejb-jar.xml.
By the way: is the definition of ejb-jar.xml Application Server independent? Can I use the same ejb-jar.xml for deployment on JBoss or TomCat or Jetty or WebSphere? Ray

Can anyone help, please ? Using RISC OS 4.02, StrongArm, DialUp 3.13, Hermes, Newshound, Pluto 3.04c, Fresco or Netsurf. Connecting through ClaraNet.
When online, mail and news items download correctly and connection stays online until expiry time of 5 minutes without use.
Either browser downloads web pages but disconnects after about 1 minute of inactivity (often not long enough to read the downloaded material and decide on next link to try) I can't find the box to enter a time to control .... read more

This is the outcome of a couple of disaster days, when I repeatedlydid the wrong thing, and finished up with a mess.
I deleted the partition table in my second (PATA) HD, and restored itusing TestDisk (a brilliant program.) Originally, it contained 3primary partitions: 1: Ext3 2: Ext3 3: NTFS (because Windows insisted that I have one.) Now Partition 2 (/dev/sdb2) has been put in the extended partition as alogical drive (/dev/sdb5.) /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb3 are unchanged. Nodata has been move.... read more

After installing SP3 I can't send a Web Site Link or Page. This is the only glitch since installeing SP3 In IE7/Internet Options/Programs there is no program listed for Email. The only choice in the drop down is <Windows Live Mail>, what ever that is.
Outlook Express is selected as Default in OLE.
My other Dell Computer with SP2/IE7 Outlook Express is listed for Email in IE7/Internet Options/Progreams and works ok. And OLE is shown in the drop down.
