I know, QNX2 is very old, however, we still use it!! Thanks to anyone who can help.

We have a minimal QNX implementation on a flash card as provided by ourhardware vendor for inclusion in an embedded system. The ftp accounts arepassword protected. I can log into the console as root with no password butwhen I attempt to ftp into the controller as root over ethernet I am askedfor a password. I tried all the obvious passwords like root, password, QNX,etc., but nothing works. The user account 'ftp' has no password and ftpddoes let me log in with that account but then it imm.... read more

Can someone help be find a place to reliably (and occasionally) compile a project under QNX 6.2.1? Our lab is working on a robotics project where we're currently at the mercy of a compile host machine at CMU. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,-Trey

I have Legato Networker for my backup sw, for windoz and unix, and my boss just asked me to look into backup sw available for our legacy QNX (version 4'ish)..
I've been running multiple versions of legato networker on everything from my older DEC (ultrix) and HPS to the newest Redhat, w/o any problems, I was just wondering if anyone knows about a Legato Networker backup 'client'.. for QNX thanks in advance, steveo

Hi,I'm trying to use precompiled headers using gcc on qnx 6.2. The version Ihave on my system, of gcc, seems to be 2.95.3.
When I ask in gcc newsgroups they tell me that this version is very old andis unsupported and don't support precompiled headers! Is this the only version available on QNX? If so, how do people work withlarge projects with a lot of headers? The compile times will be unacceptablelong. I can't see how serious development is possible without them?Is there a way to s.... read more
