ICS with Win98?
10/10/2018 18:33
Hi, I'm trying to use Windows 98 as an ICS client for an XP host. I triedconfiguring the Win98 machine with DHCP and static IP, but nothing works.

Finally I used WinGate instead, but is it possible to get it to work withICS? Thanks

Before I can really answer this question I would need to know the exact setup you are using, you might give me a diagram such as the example I listed below. Given that you are able to get ICS to work with a third party program indicates that you have the hardware setup correctly and the problem probably lies somewhere in the settings. The site listed below will give you info about ICS and how to configure. You should only have to configure the XP machine.

=> Cable modem which goes to...

=> XP Home computer which goes to...

=> Hub...

=> Win 98 computer is connected to the hub.

host. I triedbut nothing works.
